How migration works

  1. 1. Initial assessment

    Our team evaluates your current environment: mailbox count, volume, provider specifics and preferred window. No cost, no commitment.

  2. 2. Destination preparation

    We provision your Zimbra at InteSys, set up domains, aliases, DKIM/SPF/DMARC and password policies per contract.

  3. 3. Parallel migration

    Emails, contacts, calendars, Zimbra signatures and Briefcase files are copied in background while your current provider keeps running. Zero downtime during the initial copy phase.

  4. 4. DNS cutover

    At an agreed window, we point MX to the new servers. A final sync ensures no message is lost.

  5. 5. Post-migration validation and support

    We validate mailboxes, calendars, contacts, signatures and ActiveSync on key-user devices. Premium support for the first 30 days for any adjustment.

Frequently asked questions about email migration

Does migration cause downtime?

No. Initial copy runs in parallel to your current provider. Only the DNS cutover has a short window, scheduled off-hours whenever possible.

Is migration free?

Yes for standard corporate plans. Very large environments (over 1000 mailboxes) or special requirements may incur a quoted additional cost.

Will my Gmail filters and rules be migrated?

Gmail filters and labels are converted to the Zimbra equivalent. Folders, stars, flags and signatures are preserved.

What about calendar events?

Yes, we migrate personal and shared calendars, preserving recurrences, attendees and attachments via CalDAV or iCal export.

How long does migration take?

Depends on volume: up to 50 mailboxes usually 3 to 5 days; 50 to 200 in 1 to 2 weeks. Larger schedules are custom.

What if a message arrives during cutover?

We run a final sync after DNS cutover to capture any message that arrived during the transition. Zero email loss.

Do you migrate from Brazilian providers like Locaweb or HostGator?

Yes. We migrate from any IMAP/POP3 provider, including Locaweb, HostGator, UOL Host, Registro.br, King Host and similar.

Do I need to change my domain?

No. The domain remains yours and MX is simply repointed. If you prefer to keep the domain registrar elsewhere, everything works the same.

Do you migrate Zimbra signatures and Briefcase files?

Yes. We migrate email signatures (HTML and text), user preferences, personal and shared contacts, calendars (with recurrences and attendees) and Zimbra Briefcase files, including folder share permissions.
